  • This upbeat anthem was influenced by George Ezra's girlfriend and his emotions during the early stages of their relationship.

I know you heard it from those other boys
    But this time it's real
It's something that I feel and
I know you heard it from those other boys
    But this time it's real

"Instead of a particular story it's more of a feeling that takes over when you've fallen in love which is just quite heady, isn't it," Ezra told the Press Association.
  • George Ezra rediscovered "Paradise" on his Dictaphone eight months after he recorded it. He recalled to The Sun: "That song started life before the end of the first record. We were on tour in California and someone got a cold on the bus. If one of you gets a cold, we all do. I remember being in my bed feeling sorry for myself and I just started singing and had that melody. Then I forgot about it for a while."
  • The song captures the feeling of falling in love during the early days of an relationship. The female voice in the background is that of Florence "Florrie" Arnold, who also plays drums on the track. According to The Mail On Sunday's Charlotte Griffths, Ezra and Florrie were dating when they recorded the tune and the lyrics were written with her in mind.
