Songfacts®:

  • Here, George Ezra recalls getting to know a girl "better on a trampoline." He told BBC: "I love that song because it pretty much does explain a trip [we took] through South Africa."

The girl Ezra is talking about is Florence "Florrie" Arnold, a singer-songwriter who was the Xenomania production house's in-house drummer. She has also co-written hit songs for Girls Aloud ("Something New") and The Saturdays ("What Are You Waiting For.")

Ezra and Arnold started dating three or four months before he'd completed touring his Wanted On Voyage album and he penned the hit single "Paradise" about the early days of their relationship.
  • Ezra told the BBC that all the love songs on Staying at Tamara's are about the same person. He said:

"Three months or four months before the last record was completely wrapped up, I met my now-girlfriend. The timing was brilliant because we actually got to spend time together and go on a few dates. That was the one blessing about it taking me so long to write this bloody record!"
