  • In a short review on page 106 of the August 1933 issue of The GRAMOPHONE, Formby is said to be "mildly amusing" with this song which has a "stupendous" title; the latter is self-evident, and it is indeed mildly amusing, but slightly more attention was paid to its "naughty" A-side, "With My Little Ukulele In My Hand."

    According to the George Formby Society's online discography, he recorded it July 1, 1933 on the Decca label, and unlike the A-side, it did not have to be reissued! >>>
