• Not to be confused with the later Blackmore's Night track of the same title, this largely downtempo piano-based George Harrison composition was written in 1973 and released as the B-side of "You," it also appeared on the Extra Texture (Read All About It) album, the 5^th and final track on Side 1, running to around 4 minutes 40 seconds.
• George Harrison wrote some classic songs, but this is not one of them. He appears to be addressing a philosopher - probably an Indian philosopher or guru, for those who are au fait with his Weltanschauung.
  
  Perhaps a little unkindly, one critic described "World of Stone" as "a song full of pretentious lyrics, Genesis-like synthesizer pads, and a 'Hey Jude'-like sing-a-long finale that can't end soon enough. Harrison's most impressive feat is that he crammed all of those motifs into one song." >>
