Songfacts®:

  • Credited to Plant/Lonton and produced by Mike Hugg, "Mister, It's Your Lucky Day" was a one-hit wonder, or perhaps that should be a no-hit wonder, recorded by Gillian Burns. Burns was the cousin of Georgia Brown (1933-92) and appeared in the 1977 revival of Oliver! In a December 2008 issue of the London Daily Telegraph, Cameron Mackintosh referred to her as "a completely untrained singer," a title that was well deserved.

Recorded on the Barn label backed by "Magic Of The Moonlight," it was released in 1978, at which time Miss Burns was clearly still untrained. >>>
