Songfacts®:

  • This was the second single to be released from American R&B singer Ginuwine's sixth studio album, A Man's Thoughts.
  • This features Ginuwine's long-time collaborators Missy Elliott and Timbaland, who also produced the track. It was the first single to place the threesome together since 2001, when the trio recorded the single "Take Away," which was dedicated to their fallen friend, Aaliyah.
  • Ginuwine's birth name is Elgin Baylor Lumpkin. In an interview with Clayton Perry posted on Blogcritics Magazine, he explained why he records under the name Ginuwine: "I needed a name that best describes who I am as a man, as a person. My name is Elgin, so I just took the Gin. I think I was looking at some type of beer commercial – genuine draft or something like that. I was like, 'Ginuwine – that's hot.' So I tried it out and it stuck."
