Songfacts®:

  • Girls are an indie rock band from San Francisco, California. They are led by lead singer and principal songwriter Christopher Owens, who was raised by the Children of God cult. Their debut long-player Album was released in September 2009 and was rated the 10th best album of 2009 by the Pitchfork website.
  • Owens told Clash magazine January 2010 that the songs on Album are "just all about how I feel." He added that this track is "about falling in love with writing songs. It's a really positive message and they're all very relatable topics. You know, life can go so many ways and it's not always great, but I guess it's important to always dwell on the positive."
