Songfacts®:

  • "I Luv Her" is a R&B/hip-hop love song featuring T-Pain recorded by GloRilla for her album Glorious. T-Pain's lush, Auto-Tuned croons balance out GloRilla's raw, unfiltered verses.
  • The song opens with T-Pain's hook, where he details a sort of devotion so overwhelming it almost feels defiant. Then, in comes GloRilla, with her verses cutting straight to the heart. She doesn't hold back, sharing her own take on love with a rough-edged honesty that keeps it real and raw, shedding the layers of pretense you might expect in a love song.
  • The production is courtesy of DJ Montay (Flo Rida's "Low," T-Pain featuring Kehlani's "I Like Dat"). He created a smooth, atmospheric backdrop that supports both T-Pain's irresistible hook and GloRilla's gritty, forthright flow.
  • GloRilla seems genuinely surprised by how it all came together. As she recounted to Apple Music, she almost missed her chance with the song. "One of my managers was tied in with T-Pain's DJ or his producer," she said.

The track was sent over in a batch, almost buried amid a pile of other beats. However, GloRilla was too busy to explore the collection for a long while.

"I was in the studio one day and I decided to look at the beats," she continued. "I clicked on the song and I decided to put a verse on it. I loved it, it had to go on the album. I called them, this was probably four days before I had to turn it in."
  • The song debuted at #92 on the Hot 100 in the week of the release of Glorious. It marked T-Pain's first appearance on the chart since "I Like Dat" with Kehlani peaked at #97 in 2021.
