Songfacts®:

  • During an interview on XM Radio, the band revealed that this song is about Sully Erna's continued belief in a higher power. He doesn't call the higher power any specific name, but he continues to believe in this power, believing there is too much that can't be explained for something to not be there. >>>

  • Luna Loud from Royal Woods, MichiganThe second verse should start with "Dead silence overwhelming me. Day and night, takes a toll on my sanity." Also, the last chorus is only sang once, but you guys have it on here twice. I love this song, it's uplifting for me and the harmonica solo is sweet! It's in the key of C.
  • Zero from Nowhere, NjI feel I can relate to this song, I used to sleep all through the day and doubt my faith in a higher power. Now I've found a reason to live and "I'm feeling I'm coming strong".
  • Kayla from Oklahoma City, OkGodsmack has 53 songs - 11 on Awake, 12 on Faceless, 12 on Godsmack, 11 on IV, and 7 on The Other Side. This is a kickass song.
  • Jeff from Helena, Mtthis song is awesome. does anyone know how many songs godsmack has? exactly
  • Desiree from Powers Lake, Ndi LOVE the harmonica part...this song is the fricken bomb!! like all of godsmacks music...love it!!!
  • Nick from Paramus, NjI love this song, especially the harmonica parts. No, it's not the heaviest song, but who cares?
  • Culley from Greenwood, InThis song is the bomb! So what if Metallica hit big time first.
  • Sara from Savannah, GaSully wrote the song & he also produced it too!!
he said that in a radio interview that i heard
on my computer!! Its talking about faith & belief in this song. This almost reminds me of a
religious song than it does a rock song.
