  • Written by Phil Lynott and Mark Stanway, this song was recorded by their short-lived band Grand Slam at the Marquee on December 4, 1984, and appears on the double live Final Slam CD. It was released as a single in November of the following year.
  • In Stuart Bailie's authorized biography of Lynott and Thin Lizzy, the inspiration for the song is revealed. The hard drinking Lynott was in an ale house in Texas when a biker wearing the colors of his gang, the Nineteenth Chapter, walked up to the bar and said "I'm bad, gimme a beer." This struck a chord with the Irishman, reminding him of the way he was at that age. >>>
