Songfacts®:

  • This Tommy Cecil, Seth Ennis, Jay Brunswick and Jaida Dreyer-penned cut was the last song Granger Smith added to his When the Good Guys Win album after producer Frank Rogers' emailed it to him during a solo snow skiing trip in New Mexico in early 2017.

"I was at the very top of the mountain, and it was 10,000 feet up and I was skiing and it was snowing so hard that I couldn't see in front of me of at all," he recalled to Taste of Country. "And it was freezing cold."

Unable to get enough reception to fully download the song, Smith had to wait until he could plug his phone in, before he could reply to the producer.

"My eyes just welled up," he said. "I had really poor cell service but I was trying to text him to say 'Hold that song!"
