  • Grimes told DazedDigital that lyrically, Art Angels is "more political and less abstract" than her previous work. "Like, really trippy free association about nature and s--t," she continued. "There's a song that's from the perspective of a butterfly in the Amazon as people are cutting down trees."

"I think my music used to be more escapist. Visions didn't really acknowledge reality, but this record is more about looking reality in the face," Grimes added.
  • This is one of four self-directed music videos from Art Angels shot by Grimes with her iPhone. The singer also filmed the footage for "World Princess Part 2," "SCREAM" and "Belly of the Beat" over two weeks during her AC!D REIGN tour. "They are guerrilla style vids, a la reality, so there was no crew, makeup, cameras, lights," she tweeted. "Just us and a phone, so maybe don't expect anything too fancy. That said, we're really proud of what we made."
