Songfacts®:

  • Haim (pronounced like "lime") are three sisters from Los Angeles: Este, Danielle and Alana Haim. They started playing music as children when their parents enlisted them into the family band with the brilliant moniker of Rockinhaim. As they grew older the siblings began writing their own material. Este graduated from UCLA in 2010, whilst Danielle started touring with Jenny Lewis and Julian Casablancas as soon as she graduated high school. Alana spent one year in college then dropped out to pursue the band's career with her sisters. The trio self-released a three song EP titled Forever in February 2012, which generated a lot of buzz and it wasn't long afterwards that Polydor Records signed them. The anticipation increased when the sisters came top of the BBC's Sound of 2013 list, which aims to highlight the new music talent that they anticipate breaking through globally in the new year. Previous winners include Jessie J, Adele, Ellie Goulding and Keane.
  • This is Haim's second single, which became their first song to reach the UK singles chart.
  • The NME magazine asked Este why the three sisters are playing basketball in the video. She replied, "We have a basketball court at home. We wanted to do a video that was fun and that incorporated what we like to do on a day to day basis."

Alana added, "I made all the trick shots myself. There was no camera trickery."
