  • This comic song about a man who inherits an old watch and chain written by Charles Collins, E.A. Sheppard and Fred Terry, was popularized by Harry Champion, one of the great stars of the English music hall. According to Brian Rust in the 1979 discography British Music Hall On Record, Champion recorded it on the EMI label on October 29, 1935 backed by the London Palladium Orchestra.
