Songfacts®:

  • This was one of the first songs that the four members of Hinds wrote together. They teased a portion of it at the band's first-ever gig.
  • Hinds' bassist Ade Martin was the one who came up with the four chords that are used for the song. Before the lyrics were added it was titled "Ade."
  • Vocalists/guitarist Ana Garcia Perrote explained the song's meaning to The Line Of Best Fit: "This one is based on apocalyptical images like 'fat calmed kiddos touching all your pillows' or 'plains keep falling and trees stop growin,' she said. "It's one of those kinds of love when everything is super intense and everything around is falling apart but you still can't think about anything else than the person you want to be with."
  • This was the toughest Leave Me Alone track to mix. The band told HMV.com: "We even re-recorded some drums and the rhythm guitar. Sometimes (it) is just difficult to make decisions when mixing gives you all the options in the world."
