  • Born in Stockton, California, to two school teachers, Cole Hudson first posted his wares on musical.ly. He fully hit his stride on TikTok, and in December 2019, Hudson decamped and co-founded the influencer compound known as the Hype House. Hudson's strong social presence went stellar, and in December 2020, industry veteran Adam Mersel (Bebe Rexha, Ben Platt) signed him to Immersive Records. Released under the name Lil Huddy, his pop-punk debut album Teenage Heartbreak tells tales of teenage angst, inspired by several past relationships. Now known as Huddy, Hudson dropped "All The Things I Hate About You" on July 29, 2022, as his first single since Teenage Heartbreak.
  • "All the Things I Hate About You" is a kiss-off track aimed at Hudson's former girlfriend and fellow influencer Charli D'Amelio. The two started dating in December 2019 and split the following April, but remained close friends. When D'Amelio started seeing the singer's good buddy, Landon Barker (son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker), Hudson felt she stabbed him in the back by publicly dating his good friend. He discovered their relationship via an Instagram post and felt she should have warned him beforehand. By listing "all the things he hates" about D'Amelio ("a showstopper, bad liar, homie-hopper, drama-starter"), Hudson disses Barker too.
  • Travis Barker had been involved in the writing and producing of Teenage Heartbreak. Unsurprisingly, he didn't contribute to this track. Instead, Huddy co-wrote "All Things I Hate About You" with West Coast hip-hop artist Wes Period. Erik Ron (Godsmack, Dance Gavin Dance, Bush) produced the song.
