Songfacts®:

  • "I Adore You" is a collaborative single released on July 19, 2024 by producers HUGEL, Topic and Arash.

HUGEL is a French DJ and music producer known for his work in the electronic dance music scene.

Topic is a German-Croatian DJ who has gained popularity with his electronic and dance music productions.

Arash is an Iranian-Swedish singer, entertainer, and producer who has had success in multiple countries with his blend of Middle Eastern and Western pop music.
  • The collaboration allowed them to combine HUGEL's expertise in Latin House and Afro-Latin elements with Topic's skill in crafting infectious melodies and beats. Arash added his distinctive fusion of Persian and Western musical styles.
  • At the vocal helm is Daecolm Holland, a Zimbabwean-born, UK-based singer and producer. He's co-produced several of Chris Brown's songs, including the Heartbreak On A Full Moon tracks "Frustrated," "If You're Down" and "Bite My Tongue." Besides Chris Brown, he has worked with the likes of Usher, Ella Mai, Labrinth, and Trey Songz.

Daecolm's vocals deliver the kind of lovestruck emotion you'd expect from someone deeply smitten, laying it all out there.
  • The initial framework for the track emerged from a session with Topic, Daecolm, Swedish producer A7S and Arash. "I already had the idea of going a little more in the Afro house direction and brought it into the session, but it hadn't yet been worked out," Topic told Beatportal.com. "Daecolm then contributed the lyrics in his typical style and the whole thing slowly took shape."

It wasn't until HUGEL jumped in that the song really found its groove. "I heard the topline of 'I Adore You' through a close friend of mine, and I was like, 'damn, there is something here,'" he said. "The production was originally very pop, but I could hear the potential in the vocal elements. From there, I produced the beat to bring to life the final version of the track you hear now."
