Songfacts®:

  • This somber breakup ballad finds the Icona Pop duo taking turns singing about a relationship that has just ended. The song was penned by the Norwegian production duo Stargate with the American hitmaker Benny Blanco, whose other credits together include Katy Perry's "Firework" and Rihanna's "Diamonds." Lana Del Rey's frequent collaborator Justin Parker, Chicago songwriter Ross Golan (Lady Antebellum's "Compass") and New York songsmith RoboPop (Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts") also contributed to the writing of the song.
  • The French New Wave-inspired black-and-white video was filmed in Paris and tells the story of a love triangle between the Icona Pop pair and an Italian man. The clip was directed by Marc Klasfeld, who has also worked with Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Jay Z. Other Parisian set clips include Adele's "Someone Like You" and Taylor Swift's "Begin Again." A lot of footage for Sinead O'Connor's iconic "Nothing Compares 2 U" video was also shot around the City of Lights, but the director ended up using just a simple tight shot of O'Connor singing.
