I've Got A Monster

Songfacts®:

  • This is one of Ivor Biggun's more printable efforts, and for once contains more humor than expletives. The listener is left to imagine what the monster might be, but not much imagination is needed. The song features guest appearances by white reggae artist Judge Dredd and Screaming Lord Sutch, and contains some clever puns on their names. Altogether this is all good clean fun.
  • The beginning of "I've Got A Monster" is actually a take-off of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. In the latter, Jackson tells his girl "I'm not like other guys"; needless to say, Ivor's admission is slightly risqué.
  • "I've Got A Monster" finishes with a few bars of Biggun's infinitely more infamous "The Winker's Song". >>>
