Songfacts®:

  • This is the oldest song on Born Sinner. It was recorded by Cole in Europe on his tour bus a few weeks after the release of his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. The rapper's spokesman, Ibrahim "IB" Hamad, recalled to Vibe magazine: "We were in London when we went to see a producer named Syience to get some beats. He's a monster and this is one of the beats Cole grabbed from him. He recorded this along with 'Can I Holla At You,' 'Tears For ODB.' 'Rise Above' and an unreleased song called 'Black and White' in the matter of two days. Cole had hit a crazy zone at that point. That was really the beginning of the making of his second album."
