• This features Skrillex and Diplo in a more reserved role than usual behind the guest vocalist, Aluna Francis. The AlunaGeorge singer recalled the collaboration during a Reddit AMA: "Firstly, I started the Jack Ü track with Diplo after meeting him at Glastonbury in 2013," she said. "Luckily for me, he was tired which meant that he was just about on my energy level. The rest of the time and the reason him and Skrillex are so prolific, they have so much energy that it's like trying to join a party stoney cold sober and everyone else is lit!"
• Diplo shared the story of the song via Instagram:
  
  "I started this song with Aluna over 3 years ago after I met her at Glastonbury and somehow convinced her to meet me the following day for a session. I was hungover and all I had was this dark beautiful bass line and she made magic with it."
  
  "Over the next year I kept messing with the concept of the song and it's not til Sonny (Skrillex) got into it and found some old horns in the session that he gave it a new life and it became a monster of a song that both reflects the past and looks forward to the future with the signature Jack U vibe."
• The song's music video was directed by AG Rojas, who also shot the visuals for Emeli Sandé's "Daddy" and Jack White's "Sixteen Saltines." The clip features real life young couples from varied backgrounds making out and living their lives.
  
  Diplo said of the video: "It's like an overgrown city.. industrial graveyard but still breeds life and feeling. We finally got to collab with AG which was one of our goals with the Jack U project."
