Songfacts®:

  • Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax is an Atlanta R&B and hip-hop singer-songwriter who records under the moniker of Jacquees. This steamy track was released as a single from Jacquees' 2016 mixtape Mood.
  • The slice of lovemaking R&B finds Jacquees letting a new girl know what he wants. "The 'B.E.D.' hook, a piece of it comes from Avant's 'Read Your Mind,' when he said, 'I know you wanna love,' he said the same thing," Jacquees explained to Genius. "Then we took that and we just flipped it. Added some more sauce to it. But Avant is the originator. Big shout out to Avant 'cause he cleared the record. He showed me love."
  • Jacquees wrote the song with ForteBowie at Atlanta's 11th Street studio while Nash B supplied the beat. Jacquees recalled:

"We were vibing. Me and Forte, we were working on some more records, 'cause I think I had just did a song I had on Mood. We were vibing. As soon as I heard the beat, I sung the hook instantly. Me and Forte went and did that part together, 'I know you wanna love, but I just wanna f--k. And girl you know the deal, I gotta keep it real.' We did it off the rip and then we came back out of the booth because we go in the booth together and I remember Forte was like, 'We got to talk some s--t.'"
