Songfacts®:

  • In this song, Owen picks up a stunning babe who is impressed with his huge tires. When they leave together, he warns her that their time together will be wilder than any eight-second ride. This is a bull riding reference - eight seconds refers to how long you have to stay on a bull for your score to count in a rodeo.
  • This song first appeared on Owen's debut album, Startin' With Me, in 2006. He re-recorded it for his second album, Easy Does It, in 2009, this time releasing it as a single with a video to go with it.
  • Owen discussed this song with AOL: "I wrote that song when I was in college. I wanted to write a song I could throw in a set list that was rockin' enough to where people wouldn't be mad if I wasn't playing a cover. It always went over so well. One of the main reasons it wasn't released [as a single from the first album], is because it doesn't really define who I am as a person as much is it just allows people to have a really rocking good time. It's the one song on this record that doesn't necessarily fit the mix, but it fills the void of a song where people really want to turn it up loud and sing along. And that's a good feeling to do that for somebody."
  • In the video, Owen gets cozy with Lacey Buchanan, a model from Winter Park, Florida. The couple, who met on the shoot, got married in 2012 and divorced three years later. Buchanan also appears in Owen's video for "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."
