Songfacts®:

  • This is actor and social media personality Jake Paul's debut single. The song was released on May 30, 2017 as a music video on YouTube.
  • The track features the Team 10 crew. Team 10 is a social media group consisting of young entertainers, including Jake Paul. Members Tessa Brooks, Ivan and Emilio Martinez, Nick Crompton and Chance Sutton all contribute verses to this song.
  • Along with the music video and the editing, the song took only one day to write and was entirely produced by Jake Paul. He told Billboard magazine: "'It's Everyday Bro' started with me talking about the things I do on a day-to-day basis. From there, the creativity was unleashed and the song was the result."
  • Did you spot the basic geographical error that Nick Crompton makes during his verse?

You know it's Nick Crompton and my collar stay poppin'
Yes, I can rap and no, I am not from Compton
    England is my city
And if it weren't for Team 10, then the US would be sh---y
I'll pass it to Chance 'cause you know he stay litty

Yep, England is not a city - it is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Turns out the blunder is Jake Paul's fault as he wrote Nick Crompton's verse. During his August 18, 2017 appearance on the H3 Podcast, Paul insinuated to Ethan and Hila Klein, he really thought England was a city:

"I messed up badly. [Nick Crompton] was like, 'I don't even know how to rap,' and I said, 'I got you, I'ma write this.' And to be fair, dude, England is a city in Arkansas or something.

Yeah, but that's not what you meant…. But he's not from there!

I know, I know, I know. It was a quick shield."
