• This is a track from Manic Street Preachers vocalist James Dean Bradfield's second solo album, Even in Exile. The record features lyrics telling the story of Chilean singer-songwriter and activist Victor Jara, penned by playwright Patrick Jones, who is the brother of Manic Street Preachers bassist and lyricist Nicky Wire.
  
  Jara heavily supported Salvador Allende in his successful bid to become Chilean president in 1970. He was arrested, tortured, and killed shortly after the 1973 Chilean coup that overthrew Allende. While Bradfield had known the story of Jara and his murder at the hands of Chilean dictator Pinochet's regime all his life, it was only after a visit to Jones' house that he discovered Jara's music. The playwright showed him some of his poetry about Jara and played some of the Chilean musician's records, which inspired Bradfield to try to bring Jara's story to life.
• This instrumental piece, inspired by the Canadian band Rush, reflects Jara's visit to Peru in the last year of his life. It was a picture of the Chilean activist musician at Machu Picchu which stirred Bradfield to pen the track. "He's got his guitar and a poncho on, overlooking Machu Picchu, and it was, my God that's beyond prog! It's organic, futuristic, in-the-now, in-the-past, everything," Bradfield told Mojo magazine. "I said to Pat, give me a title for this photo. I really had to reach for Rush for that."
• Bradfield explained the song title to DIY magazine: "The Temple of the Three Windows is located on the Plaza of Machu Picchu. I wanted to represent the gamma rays that seem to be waiting to burst from that picture."
