Songfacts®:

  • Emerging from Liverpool, James Hype quickly became a regular fixture with his DJ sets across clubs throughout the north of England. Hype made a name for himself with his remix of Drake's "Hotline Bling" and his reputation was further enhanced after his remixes for Kristine Blond ("Love Shy") and Sage The Gemini ("Now and Later") racked up several million plays. This cocktail of future bass and melodic house features powerhouse session singer Kelli-Leigh on vocals.
  • The song is a reworking of the En Vogue slow jam "Don't Let Go (Love)", which reached the top 5 in the US and UK back in 1997. Hype transforms its instrumentals into a fast-paced club anthem, while Kelli-Leigh puts her own spin on the song's vocals.
  • Kelli-Leigh's previous credits include supplying the vocals for SecondCity's chart-topper "I Wanna Feel." Her vocals were also sampled on Duke Dumont's hit tune "I Got U."
