• "'Don't Let Me Let You Go' is probably the cheesiest title I've ever written for a song," Jamie Lawson admitted during a track-by-track commentary for his self-titled album. "And I had it for about a year-and-a-half before I tried to do something with it 'cause I thought it would just be a cheesy country song, and it probably should be. I got set up to work with a singer called Amy Wadge, who wrote 'Thinking Out Loud' with Ed Sheeran and I gave her a whole list of titles, and that's how I sometimes work is just write titles down, and she picked that one out."
  
  "So we wrote that together and I think she did a really good job... even though it's a cheesy title, it doesn't come across that way at all, and it seems like a genuine attempt at trying to communicate to someone. I think maybe especially for men it can be quite difficult sometimes and they don't know how to describe how they feel and communicate how they feel, and I think this is a way of saying I'm probably going to get things wrong, but I don't want to get this wrong, and I thought that was a nice thing."
