Songfacts®:

  • This song is the lead track of British rapper Jamie T's four-song EP, The Man's Machine.
  • Whilst this song is culled from T's second album, Kings and Queens, the EP also features three previously-unheard tracks: "Jenny Can Rely on Me," "Man Not a Monster" and "Believing in Things That Can't Be Done." AOL's Spinner asked him why squander the new songs now? The singer replied: "The point of releasing an EP is to give people more music. We think a lot of people, a lot of the time, all they get is s--- B-sides and a few remixes, you know? I thought, well, we've got a hell of a lot of material anyway."
  • Apart from one guitar part on "Emily's Heart" and upright bass on this song, everything on Kings and Queens was played by Jamie T and his production partner Ben Bones.
