  • Jamie Smith's label Young Turks/XL had to put in some serious detective work to clear a rare sample from a never-aired Radio 1 pilot about jungle for this song. "We had to find these MCs who are now, like, taxi drivers or something," Smith told NME.
  • The song's music video was directed by the Swedish actor and playwright Erik Wernquist, who is best known for creating the computer-animated character, Crazy Frog. The clip features footage from space, courtesy of NASA and the Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio.
  • Jamie Smith told Uncut what he liked about the song title is that it is an old English phrase. He said: "'Oh my gosh' is a very old English thing to say and then jungle MCs started to say it in the '90s. I like that more than it being a reference to '90s dance music. I like its general Britishness."
  • A second video was shot by Romain Gavras and features a cast of over 400 bleach-blonde teenagers from the Xiaolong Martial Arts School Disciples. The Greek-French filmmaker won two MTV Video Music Awards in 2012, for Best Cinematography and Best Direction, for the "Bad Girls" music clip that he made for M.I.A.

The visual was filmed in Tianducheng, China and follows the main character as the Chinese teens follow him through the city. The city contains a 354-foot-tall replica of the Eiffel Tower, which features in the clip.

Romain Gavras told Dazed Magazine that the whole time he was in Tianducheng, he felt like he was "on acid." "You walk out on the street and you're in fake Paris and you have Chinese kids saying hello. The whole thing is very f---ing meta, very weird, and very confusing."
