Crush On You

Album: Not released on an album (1997)

Songfacts®:

  • This was the first song that Jason Derulo ever wrote. He was eight years old at the time and the future star penned it for a classmate called Amy Hume. Derulo recalled to Time: "It was about my crush on a girl in my class. Her name was Amy, and I wanted to write her a song because I didn't have any money. So, you know, I wanted to get her to like me, but I didn't know what to get her, so I thought I'd write her a song. I never sang it for her, but it started a long journey of songwriting."
