Songfacts®:

  • This Blueprint 3 track features Canadian rapper Drake and is produced by Timbaland, a frequent contributor to previous Jay-Z albums.
  • This song accuses conservative talk-show host, Bill O'Reilly, who is a noted hip-hop hater, along with right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh of stirring up racist sentiments. A day after it leaked on the internet, O'Reilly played the song on a segment of his show titled Reality Check, highlighting the lyrics in question. "A regular Otis Redding, isn't he," O'Reilly commented, sighing, before moving on.
  • Drake did the chorus but didn't contribute any verses. Timbaland told MTV News that he wasn't sure why there no Drake rhymes on the song. He said: "You gotta ask him. It should have been [on there]. But I thought, to me, we took [Drake] out of his element. But he said that was good to him. I said, 'Oh, s---, let's go back and get him in the verse.' But that ain't my project. If it was up to me to redo it, I'd redo it that way."
