Songfacts®:

  • Jeezy teams up with Diddy for this celebration of opulence. Jeezy raps the flow from Big Tymer's "Get Your Roll On."

    Diamonds, floatin', levi-tate (damn)
Bentley, coupes, Bentley, trucks (what else?)
    Forty, cal, got it, tucked
Private, planes, I got her, name (what?)
Want that, bag, keep the, fame, uhh (you know what it is)

DJ Folk, the A&R on Jeezy's Trap or Die 3 and Pressure albums recalled to DJ Booth: "This record was done in LA in the Michael Jackson room at WestLake Recording Studios. I played the beat and Jeezy started losing his mind. He began coming up with ideas for the hook and then he freestyled the verse. I thought, 'Big Tymers flow, f--k, I'm with it.' While he was recording the song, I f---ed around and fell asleep. When I eventually woke up, Jeezy played the record for me and I was like, 'Wow!'"
  • Though Sean Combs has performed under the stage name of Diddy since 2005, he is credited here under his original performing moniker of Puff Daddy. DJ Folk said: "Diddy was our first guest choice but we also discussed the Big Tymers. Diddy being with DeLeón Tequila and Cîroc also made the choice easy."
  • P.C. 's beat samples Three Six Mafia's 1995 single "Tear Da Club Up."
  • The video finds Jeezy and Diddy celebrating living the good life. There's plenty of product placement, with Jeezy repping Avion, (he's the Multicultural Advisor to the Chairman of the Tequila brand). DJ Folk said: "At the time, we were thinking that the visual would even up being a three-minute long commercial for both Tequila Avión and both of Diddy's brands."
