Songfacts®:

  • This cut from Jeezy's fourth album, Thug Motivation 103, finds the southern rhymer declaring, "I said I see some ladies in here tonight I might marry." The rapper has a son from a previous relationship, but at the time of recording this track he was single.
  • The mellow cut features verses from Outkast's Andre 3000, whose contribution leaked months prior to its release and Jay-Z who continues the wedding theme when he asks a lady to "cut that cake for me."
  • Jeezy told The Boombox he's talking about being wed to the streets on this cut, but can see why it would appeal to the ladies. "I felt like it's my wedding song because I actually absolutely, positively feel like I'm married to the game," he said. "I'm married to the streets, but even when I hear it on the radio, I'm like, "Damn, OK. The ladies like it. But do they really know what I'm talking about?" [laughs] I'm talking 'bout the streets and how much I love the streets and how much I ain't never gonna leave them."
  • This is the very first cut to feature both Andre 3000 and Jay-Z on the same song. Jigga did namecheck the Outkast rapper on The Throne track, "That's My Bitch."
