  • The name OJ Simpson might not mean much to some of you young whippersnappers, but back in the mid-1990s he was a household name, having been involved in one of the most publicized murder cases in American history. After a lengthy trial that lasted over nine months the ex American footballer and actor was acquitted of the double murder of his former wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. On this cut Jeezy correlates street hustling with O.J. Simpson's relieve of charge. "O.J. is that life. It's like, 'We're going to get away with this s--t.' I mean, we was killing that white chick. That's what we do," Jeezy explained to Billboard magazine. FunkMaster Flex premiered the track on December 6, 2011.
  • Jeezy is assisted on the track by New York MCs, Jadakiss and Fabolous. It was produced by Lil Lody, one of five cuts his long time collaborator and pal provided the beats for on Thug Motivation 103. Said Jeezy to Billboard magazine: "When he did that beat I was like, 'That's crazy.' I reached out to Fab. He came through the studio and we knocked out the song together. I sent Jadakiss the record and he got it right back and it was just crazy."
  • North Memphis rapper-producer Lil' Lody provided the beat - it was one of five tracks he helmed on TM 103. This is Lody's favorite track on the album. He told The Boombox this was "because to me, it's just extraordinary." Lody added: "People get it but they don't get it. You've got to listen to it real close."
  • Lody recalled to The Boombox being in the studio when the track was being recorded. He said: "I didn't know it was gonna come out like that. I just did the beat and sent it, thinking, 'movie theme,' because that was my mind frame when I was doing it. 'Big movie theme.'"
  • The song samples Meiko Kaji track "Shura No Hana" off the Japanese enka singer's 1974 album Golden Star Twin Deluxe.
