Songfacts®:

  • Jeffrey Gaines is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who released his first album in 1992 to critical acclaim, but remained out of the spotlight, possibly because of an aversion to publicity. Gaines pours his soul into his music, and his live shows provide a great showcase for his talents. He doesn't talk much about himself or his songs, but he did explain this track to us, which is a highlight of his fourth album Always Be. Said Gaines: "The inspiration for 'Fall You Fool' is in matters of love and art, caution is absolutely useless and ridiculous. There is no need to protect yourself from feeling the joy, for fear of the potential sorrow."
