Songfacts®:

  • This joyous song finds Jess Glynne celebrating being in love as she sings about being united as one with her love interest.

Every daydream I have starts and ends with you
I wanna play it one more time, hey
When I need an alibi, you're my perfect excuse
You are always on my side
'Cause all I know and all I am is you

Jess has found love and she can think about is her romantic interest. Indeed she is so smitten she is becoming part of that person.
  • Jess Glynne wrote the song with:

Janee "Jin Jin" Bennett, who is a British singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. She has worked frequently with Jess Glynne dating back to her debut album I Cry When I Laugh back in 2015. Bennett also co-penned Jax Jones breakthrough UK hit "You Don't Know Me."

Sophie "Frances" Cooke who is a singer-songwriter from the English county of Berkshire. Frances was shortlisted for the Brits Critics' Choice Award 2016.

Bastian "Carassius Gold" Langebaek, whose other credits include "Midnight," the lead single from Jessie Ware's third studio album, Glasshouse.

James Newman, who is the brother of "Feel The Love" and "Not Giving In" singer John Newman. His other songwriting credits include the UK #1 hits "Waiting All Night" by Rudimental and "Blame" by Calvin Harris.

American record producers "Sinister" Sealee and Sandy Rivera are also credited because the song samples the bass line of their track "Finally." Released in 2000 as Kings of Tomorrow, the track peaked at #24 on the UK Singles Chart.
  • The song was produced by Mark Ralph, who's also worked with Clean Bandit and Years & Years.
  • The song's lyrics could also be interpreted as a metaphor for a close friendship and its accompanying music video takes that route proclaiming unity and togetherness. The Declan Whitebloom-directed clip starts off with shots of Glynne's set at Brighton Pride before focusing on a holiday she took in Brazil with her two best mates.
