Songfacts®:

  • This self-empowering power ballad finds Jessie addressing her haters and embracing positive mantras. She professes on the hook, "You haven't seen the best of me, I'm still working on my masterpiece."
  • The song was co-written and produced by San Francisco songwriter Josh Alexander (JoJo's "Too Little, Too Late," Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break.") The other co-writers were Britt Burton and Emily Warren, the latter of whom also co-penned Sweet Talker's opening track "Ain't Been Done."
  • The song's music video was shot in Los Angeles on November 13 and 14, 2014 and directed by Tabitha Denholm. The former Queens of Noize band member has also helmed clips for Haim ("Falling") and Florence + the Machine ("Never Let Me Go.")

The visual takes fans through a day in Jessie's life as we see the songstress at a photo shoot and later performing the tune along with fans.
