Songfacts®:

  • The song shares its title with a Peter Gabriel tune. Vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins told AbsolutePunk that though this was done purposely his track has nothing to do with the English singer's original cut. "Early on, before I really had a clear picture of what the writing should be like, there was a phase there where I was writing songs based around other song titles about love, like 'All My Love'" and 'Book of Love,'" he explained. "I had no idea where I was going with it, I would just kind of use that as a jumping off point. What about that title can I take from it? It has nothing to do with anybody's original writer or people that played that before, it was more about appropriating the title and trying to make something new out of it."

  • Steve from UsaI saw Jim on a solo tour some time ago and he said that at an earlier show a couple came up to him all excited that he sang this, which was their wedding song. He said he didn't really know what to say to them because he had written this song about divorce.
