  • The internet can be a great way for a band to connect with its fans, but unfortunately it's also host to plenty of trolls who make it their mission to spew hate. Tatiana Shmailyuk, Jinjer's lead vocalist, encountered so many of them that she decided to confront them through the song "Judgement (& Punishment)."

"I was inspired by all the hate that Jinjer gets from the internet. Stupid comments here and there about my voice, about my appearance, about anything. Believe me, there are a lot of haters over there just talking s--t, and this is the song addressed to them. So, just find your heart, but try to be kind," she explained in a 2022 Songfacts interview.

"If you have something bad to say, just keep it to yourself or kick a pillow at home or discuss it among your friends. But as we know, haters don't have friends, so that's why they just pour it out on the internet. They don't have the balls to tell it to your face, so they put it in comments."
  • One of the haters Shmailyuk had to deal with was her own friend, who used Twitter as an outlet to bash the singer for modeling lingerie on Instagram. That saga inspired another song on the album: "Teacher, Teacher!"
  • Macro is the Ukrainian metal band's third full-length album, following Cloud Factory (2014) and King Of Everything. It was written after they returned home from their first North American tour, alongside Cradle Of Filth. Unfortunately, they were forced to cancel several tours in support of Macro due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
