Songfacts®:

  • In this sassy song for the season, Jody Quine has it bad for Santa - she can't resist a burly guy in a beard and red suit. Written in the summer of 1993 by Anne Leighton and the singer Priscilla Hairriett, it wasn't recorded until 2016, when Leighton used the accumulated knowledge from career in the music industry to assemble the song, pegging the Canadian singer Quine to sing it after finding her on Facebook. The male voice is Dan Berggren, an Adirondack folk singer. Here's the Soundcloud link.
  • Leighton's friend Roberta Piket helped produce this track and is listed as a co-writer.
  • The instrumentation is three keyboards (Steinway, Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes), drums and sleigh bells.
