Songfacts®:

  • "Hey DJ" captures the feeling of being at a club surrounded by friends and just wanting to dance the night away. Roccstar provides the vocals.
  • Corry wrote "Hey DJ" during his 2023 season-long residency of pool parties in Ibiza, and released it as a single on October 6, 2023. It fuses the iconic trance era of the '90s and modern dance music.

"I teased this in my DJ sets for ages and I had people constantly hitting my DMs asking, 'When is this coming out?'" he told Apple Music. "This feels like a very current record. It's 140 BPM, it's got a trance vibe to it and a donk bassline. I made this track in Ibiza and then went out and played it straight away, and it had an amazing reaction."
  • Corry and Rocstarr co-wrote "Hey DJ" with:

Punctual, an electronic music duo comprising Will Lansley and John Morgan. Their other credits include Nathan Dawe's "21 Reasons" and "Oh Baby," and Switch Disco's "React."

Corry's regular production partner, Neave Applebaum.

R.I.Pablo (also known as Pablo Bowman). A onetime member of the Manchester-based writing and production collective the Six, Pablo had a part in Louis Tomlinson's "Back to You," Marshmello & Anne-Marie's "Friends" and Mimi Webb's "House On Fire."

Corry, Punctual and Applebaum also produced the track.
