Songfacts®:

  • This anthemic dance-pop track finds Joel Corry teaming up with French EDM producer David Guetta and American rapper and R&B singer Bryson Tiller. Over Corry and Guetta's tropically tinged light-house beat, Tiller ponders whether to tell his love interest about his feelings for her. He wonders what she would do if he asked her to kiss him. Would she stay or run away?
  • The three artists used Zoom for their collaboration – Corry was in Dubai, Guetta in London and Tiller in LA.
  • Corry had worked on "What Would You Do?" for about a year before finding the right vocalist. The DJ finally linked up with Tiller in his hotel room at about 3 o'clock in the morning. "He loved the record and wanted to jump on it," Corry told Official Charts. "It's a step out of his comfort zone; he said he wanted to do more dance music."
  • This is Corry's first collaboration with Tiller. The English DJ previously worked with Guetta on Corry's 2021 single "BED," where Raye provided the vocals. Also, Guetta remixed Corry's 2020 #1 single "Head And Heart" under his underground Jack Black alias.
  • London-born singer-songwriter MNEK helped write the song and also provided backing vocals. MNEK was also the featured vocalist on "Head And Heart."
