Songfacts®:

  • Joel Crouse grew up the son of a preacher in Holland, Massachusetts, where his mother was the secretary at the church. After moving to Nashville at age 18, he signed a record deal and released his first single, "If You Want Some," when he was 20. While God guide his life, its his life experiences that inspire his songs. In our 2013 interview with Crouse, he explained that this song deals with the power of music. "That song's about how much music can bring back that certain feeling you felt, even spark love between two people," he said. "So I think that's really cool."
