• Not to be confused with a similar and slightly later title written by a certain Mr. Shakespeare, the song "O Death Rock Me To Sleep" or "O Death Rock Me Asleep" (with variant spellings and punctuation) was written originally as a poem, one of two attributed to the ill-fated Anne Boleyn as she sat in the Tower of London awaiting her execution.
  
  Although its provenance is uncertain, it has been set to music more than once including by the American composer John Edmunds (1913-86) and the American songwriter and actress Katy Rose, who has captured the essence of the ill-fated queen most enchantingly. >>
