Songfacts®:

  • A track from the experimental album, Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions, this consists of John Lennon and Yoko Ono singing the text of press clippings about themselves. Yoko recalled to Uncut magazine in 2016: "I was still one foot in classic avant-garde. That shows. 'No Bed for Beatle John,' especially. I just picked up the newspaper of that day and sung it as a song. No rehearsal, of course."

"I just followed my emotion," she added. "That's how I sing most of my songs. Just going with the emotion of that moment."
