  • Jojo wrote this piano-ballad about her love of music, and how it is always there for her, in good times and bad. Due to legal entanglements, the Music. album was Jojo's first since 2006. The industry often frustrated her, but the music never did.
  • Jojo makes reference to her father, Joel Levesque, on this track:

    Levesque died on November 14, 2015 at age 60 after a long battle with addiction. Jojo's parents divorced when she was 4, and she was raised by her mother. She had little contact with her dad until Jojo was older, when they reconnected. Joel Levesque was also a singer.
  • Jojo wrote this song with Justin Tranter, Hayley Warner and Jussi Karvinen. Warner, who finished second on Australian Idol in 2009, was her main songwriting partner for the album; Tranter is a hit songwriters whose credits include "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy and "Good For You" by Selena Gomez; Jussi Karvinen, who goes by "Jussifer," is her producer.
  • Jojo allowed herself to be totally vulnerable when recording this song. "Usually I'm crazily obsessive about chasing my best performance when I'm cutting vocals," she said. "But for 'Music,' I put my perfectionist ego aside and did a couple takes all the way through, singing through my tears. The emotion was more important to me than anything else."
