Songfacts®:

  • This romantic bop finds the Jonas Brothers enjoying the holiday with a loved one. They tell their special someone that being with her makes every day feel like Christmas.
  • The Jonas Brothers penned the song with Annika Wells. It was helmed by Ryan Tedder, Mike Elizondo, Jason Evigan, Freddy Wexler and Gian Stone. The producers crafted a retro sound, throwing in finger snaps, some horns, and, of course, sleigh bells.
  • "Like It's Christmas" marks the third festive Jonas Brothers song. Back in 2007, the guys dropped "Girl of My Dreams" for Disney Channel Holiday. Then, a year later, they sampled the classic carol "Joy To The World" on "Joyful Kings" for Hollywood Records' 2008 compilation, All Wrapped Up.
  • The song was written by Freddy Wexler, Annika Wells and Gian Stone for a Christmas movie that Wexler was working on. The writers thought it might appeal to the Jonases (Jonai?), so they sent it to producer Jason Evigan, who passed it along to the brothers and their A&R exec, Wendy Goldstein.

Jonas Brothers decided to add their own flavor and record it as a single for themselves. "I love the idea that Christmas is not only one day, but it's also a state of mind and a feeling," Wexler said to MTV News of the song's theme. "So I think this idea of, 'You make every day feel like it's Christmas,' resonated with them on a very human level."
