Songfacts®:

  • The title track of the band's EP Blame-shifter comes from the book St. Silouan the Athonite by Archimandrite Sofronii?. The book is about the life of the Monk, St. Silouan, and consists of his own writings and teachings.

In our interview with Enation's frontman, Jonathan Jackson, he explained how St. Silouan inspired this song: "He was just a humble man and he spoke a lot about how important it is not to push blame onto others - what we go through in life and be able to take blame for ourselves in almost a cosmic way."
