Songfacts®:

  • This DJ Mustard-produced track was penned by Jordin Sparks in response to such songs as Chris Brown's "Loyal" and Ty Dolla $ign's "Paranoid" that are according to the songstress, "dissing women."

"They're great songs," she explained to MTV News, "I turn them up. They're fun. But then, I was, like, listening to them going, 'Why am I singing this, like, [song] that's dissing me?'"
  • The song was also included on Sparks' third longplayer, Right Here Right Now. She described it to Billboard magazine as the most "turned up" track on the set. "DJ Mustard had the beat, and Ty Dolla Sign had already written a song to it, but I was like, 'There's no way that I can say these lyrics!' So we rewrote the verses and left the chorus," she explained. "It's my response to all those songs that are dissing me as a woman."
