Songfacts®:

  • British-American singer-songwriter Josh Doyle achieved commercial success in the early 2000s as frontman of British guitar-pop band Dum Dums. However, while recording their sophomore album in 2001, their record label gave the trio an ultimatum to write more pop-orientated material or get dropped. Unhappy at the lack of support from his label, Josh decided to break up the group. Little was heard from him for a few years, but in 2004 Josh resurfaced in Nashville in 2004 with the Sam Shacklock produced EP The End Of Fears, which revealed a new folktronica sound. Josh told us this track from the EP, "was actually recorded in the studio of British Producer Alan Shacklock (Meatloaf, Roger Daltrey, The Alarm) and the recordings were overseen by him but he asked for no credit, all he was wanted was to help his son Sam Shacklock on his first production job."
